Love Letter to Summer, Part I

July 17, 2010

San Francisco’s summers (or, rather, lack thereof) are legendary.  Where we live, a bit south of the city, the weather is a little more seasonally appropriate.  Still, there are enough 60-degree cloudy days (in July!!) to make anything warm and sunny a cause for a party.  So in the spirit of celebration, (and in the spirit of lets-talk-about-good-things-so-maybe-they’ll-turn-int0-more-good-things) here’s the first installment in my love letter to summer.

What I love about summer: farmer’s markets and their bounty.

Farmer's market heirloom tomatoes, toasted farmer's market rosemary bread, and a drizzle of farmer's market olive oil. Yum.
